PETE HAZE

A graduate in guitar from the Conservatorium of music, a multidimensional musician, vocalist, music producer & straight up creative maniac. Best known for electronic music projects “Tetrameth” & “Twisted Sibling” and co-founder of label Weapon Records. With over two decades of musical achievements in a string of different genres, FNMband see’s Pete’s return to a heavy live band environment to swallow microphones - very familiar territory for him which is akin to returning to one's native habitat. After 9 years as lead vox for Australian rock band SE7EN & already being heavily influenced vocally by the work of Patton, taking the acrobatic task of lead vox for the FNM Band seemed like a perfect fit.

PETE FLEMING

(Flemsy) is Ballina based guitarist whose primary influences are, rock, prog rock, and metal. Local rock bands in the mid 90's were where his music career started and

in the past few years he has been involved in some diverse projects that included taking on the bass playing position in Australian metal and thrash outfit Beast Machine. This period included a tour of the East coast of America based out of LA and Las Vegas, which included some iconic venues like the Whisky a Go Go and the legendary Rainbow Room.

FNM Band has seen a return to his roots on guitar, and re-creating the mountainous tone and varying styles of Jim Martin, Trey Spruance, Dean Menta and Jon Hudson has been a challenge he has immersed himself in... any less would simply not do it justice.

Lucius Borich

Starting playing drums at age 3 and left school at age 14 to play full time. This experience at a young age led to Lucius playing in a well known cover band in the late 80’s called The Rolling Clones with Mark Evans (AC\DC) & Mick Cocks (Rose Tattoo) fame. This Rolling Stones cover band was Lucius first taste of live touring and performing and was a baptism of Rock n Roll fire.

A few years later, Lucius joined the 'The Buddy Holly Theatre Production' that proved to be a place where Lucius developed more as a professional player through performing 8-shows a week for 2 years. The discipline and demand that this project required was essential to strengthening his playing.

At age 23 he took this experience and moved on with his own original projects. Known for his achievements with the band Juice & The Hanging Tree, Lucius then worked Cog up to be one of the biggest independent bands in Australia.

Cog went on to produce 2 Gold records, “The New Normal” & “Sharing Space”. This led the way to major festival appearances around Australia, a Triple J Album of the year award (twice), and also earned themselves an ARIA award for their DVD/CD release “12 Years With You, The Sound of Three” - which Lucius also produced.

Respected as one of Australia’s top drummers, he has played all of the biggest Australian drumming festivals to date, as well as being a cover feature on the multiple drum magazine’s.

Lucius runs his own recording studio working with musicians to produce, mix and get the best out of their own compositions. His passion and experience in the studio helps him hone his musical craft & art even more. The creative avenue of the studio environment has been a lifelong musical pursuit and is an ongoing dream.

When asked to jump in and play with FNM, Lucius took the opportunity to make sure his part in the Faith No More tribute would be as authentic as possible. Setting up his drum kit the very same way as the legendary drummer “Mike Puffy Bordin”, including the left open handed style was essential in interpreting his style of drumming and his sound.

Quote: “If a fan of Faith No More wants to come and hear us play their music, we have no choice but to be as integral as possible. The music demands it. We expect nothing less & nor should the FNM fan!!”

Luke Rosten

Luke has an interest in many styles of music including pop, metal, jazz, rock and EDM, and holds an AMusA in classical piano and a Bachelor’s Degree with honours in Contemporary Music from Southern Cross University. Luke's diversity and professionalism has seen him play in many bands and ensembles including Undercover, Ladyslug, Ahiru, Ragga Jump, Mr Speaker and the People Party, whilst spending most of his free time composing his own modern progressive metal influenced tunes.

Ben Brennan

Ben started music at a young age, learning piano from age 6 and taking up saxophone at age 9. By age 16, one of his best mates taught him how to play a few chords on guitar, and when they tried to form a band, there was no bass player so he quickly filled that space and never looked back. At 17, he moved to the North Coast NSW to study music production at Southern Cross University where, in 1996, he met FNM band singer Pete and spent the next few years birthing the band SEVEN.

SEVEN went on to release 1 full length album, and 3 ep's, culminating in what was to be their final ep 'Escape Sequence' produced by Forrester Savell (KARNIVOOL, FULL SCALE, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT). SEVEN's career highlights included travelling to the UK and Europe to play alongside THE BLOODHOUND GANG and OASIS, Mainstage at the Pepsi Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary. They also toured Australia numerous times as support for International bands as diverse as SOULFLY, SHIHAD, MUDVAYNE and THE TEA PARTY, and Australian bands such as KARNIVOOL, GRINSPOON, JEBEDIAH, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, and also a few supports over the years with COG - this is where Ben and Pete first met Lucius from this FNM band.

Ben then moved on to play in a number of other bands, including his first collaborative musical connection with Lucius in The Ox And The Fury, and other touring bands including Full Scale and Full Scale Deflection. He then moved back up to the North Coast and re-fused some musical connections, including a stint playing bass for RESIN DOGS, and this is also where he reconnected with his long time musical companion Pete, playing in a number of combinations. In the years leading up to FNM Band, Ben concentrated on session work, recording many albums on the north coast and touring nationally and internationally, including trips to China twice with different acts.

The FNM Band finally sees Ben returning to his roots as a heavy handed, high energy bass player whilst linking up with both of his long time musical companions Pete and Lucius. As a massive fan of Faith No More growing up, this has been an extremely fun and cathartic undertaking. Relearning the songs and rehearsing has reminded him of just how much he was influenced in both his tone and playing style by Billy Gould as a bass player, by far one of the most underrated and versatile rock bass players. Second only to playing in a loud originals band, FNM Band is definitely one of the most fun projects he has undertaken.
